About Me
My house-hunting trip to Fort Worth in 1987 was my first look at the city that I have loved from my first glimpse of town as my husband and I headed north on I-35 to downtown to stay at The Worthington. I continue to love 'my city' even though we moved to Benbrook in 1999. Benbrook is a small, incorporated city located just to the west of Fort Worth and it is surrounded by the city of Ft. Worth.

Reasons I love this area and I love being in the real estate 'BIZ' here: Cultural District - Includes numerous museums including The Kimble, The Modern (perfect place for lunch), The Amon Carter. Our Parks - City-maintained parks are located throughout the city--The Botanical gardens, a perfect spot for an afternoon picnic, and so lovely in early Spring when the azaleas are in full bloom. The People - Friendly people who can enjoy a rodeo or an opera. Thriving Downtown - With Sundance Square and dowtown condo living. A City that 'Works' - The city council and the mayor work together to keep this city a place you want to live in; They all actually get along--well for the most part. The Bass Family - The Bass family has been on of the best things we have in Fort Worth. Without them, Sundance Square would not be the jewel of downtown that it is. The Economy - We have a robust, diversified economy. The Barnett Shale - A natural gas field that is located below most of Tarrant County that is bringing money to individuals and to the city. It alone is responsible for creating 83,000 new jobs since 2007.

If you moving here, let me show you around my city. And if you already live here, you know the number ONE REASON that Fort Worth in 'the Bestest in Texas' -- It isn't Dallas!

Christine Zunker answered:
Texas is a non-disclosure state as far as getting sold stats on real estate property, it is not a matter of public information as it is in other states. A member of the MLS in North Texas can easliy provide that information to their clients in the course of doing business.
Recently while working with three different sets of clients of mine who were looking to buy a condo in downtown Fort Worth and/or a condo in the nearby Cultural District, they all noted the fact that right now there is a lot of available inventory in several different price points from uptown to downtown and over to the 7th Street corridor. Right now, except for a few pockets, it is a buyer's market for condos in downtown Fort Worth.
If you want the hard numbers on the number of units sold, you will need to contact someone who has access to that information and has the right to provide that information, and that would be a licensed agent who belongs to NTREIS (North Texas Real Esate Information Services).
Hope that helps.
