The Baughman Team is a two person team consisting of Mark J Baughman and Brittany L Doran. We formed our team in April 2006 and began selling with Prudential Select Properties in Chesterland. After about 6 months with Prudential, an offer came to our attention from RE/MAX Traditions. We decided that it was in our best interest as well as our clients best interests to move our team to RE/MAX. In October 2006, the move was official and we started selling with the RE/MAX franchise Traditions. We believe that the move gave the team more of an opportunity to grow in business as well as offer clients more of a selection in terms of services. We now have the ability to advertise on our own as well as market a home the way we would like it to be marketed. We believe that this move will basically offer clients a much more broad spectrum of options with our team. In September 2007, Mark and Brittany got engaged and have scheduled a wedding date for November 8th, 2008!
Both Mark and Brittany are graduates of Hondros Real Estate College, and Northern Ohio Multiple Listing Service Certified. They are members of The National Association of Realtors(R) and The Ohio Association of Realtors(R). Both have over 8 years of customer service experience and have college degrees. Mark is a graduate of Lake Erie College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 2006 Magna Cum Laude. He has over 5 years new home construction experience and over 8 years of total sales experience. From the first job he had, he knew that selling was in his blood. He just progressed up the ladder from selling furniture, to computers, to seal coating work, and now helps customers make the biggest purchase of their lives. His philosophy on keeping the team focused on goals and on success ensures quality service. Brittany Graduated from Lakeland Community College with an Associate of Arts in 2002 and had 2 years of clerical experience in the Real Estate industry before becoming licensed. She is an expert marketer and thinks "Outside The Box" to get your home SOLD.

Current Inventory: $4,800,000... $4.8 MILLION in listing inventory! That is not including all of our option listings on new construction lots! Big team service with small team personality!!!
To portray the success we have had since our team was formed in 2006, we have to date SOLD 1.4 Million is Homes working with Re/Max (The First Year)!!! With Prudential in our first 6 months, we only SOLD $400,000. *Since April 2006 when the team was formed to the end of 2007, The Baughman Team has SOLD nearly 2 Million in property.
This is all keeping with a philosophy that the customer comes first. We will never be the team that has 50-100 listings/ We will always treat each customer the same and give each customer the same excellent level of service they deserve. We look to build lasting friendships with our customers (personal and business), and have the hope that those customers will be our best source of future business.
We created a philosophy when we first formed our team that we live by day in and day out. We always treat our customers fairly and honestly and will never be pushy. We truly believe in a team atmosphere. We will always answer phone calls personally, return phone calls promptly, and be with you through every step of the process. We believe that great service as well as keeping to high ethical standards will make your home transition be successful.

Short sales are a niche market. I have an office in Chagrin Falls and we do not see many out that way, but in the other areas I service we see them quite frequently. You really need to understand the banking system as an agent and also be able to work with a decent lawyer if you have difficult questions.

really depends on the area... In NE Ohio we are seeing about 85-90% of asking price up to $150K, and then 90% after... Obviously not counting the scads of short sales and foreclosures - Wed Feb 13 2008, 18:21
