who can i get a loan from that will let me use only $1,000?

Jeromy Wilkens answered:
Personal loan is the way to go in regards to this amount, but make sure you are seeing the forest through the trees. Sit or talk with a professional that will understand your entire financial situation and advise you the best direction to take. There's a lot of bad advise out there, from all sectors so make sure you are not only addressing the concerns of today, but tomorrow's goals and dreams as well. You'd be shocked to find out what is possible - Fri Aug 1 2008, 14:32
Jeromy Wilkens answered:
I believe that it certainly is a nice incentive to get people into the market, but I do have a concern as far as the back end of this goes. As a professional who puts individuals into mortgages, one needs to keep in mind that at some point we as taxpayers will be paying this bill and for first time homebuyers, the last thing you want to do is put them in a position where they are burdened by taxes. Education is the key here and I'm already getting calls about this, but people are under the falsehood that it's a credit and they don't have to pay it back. Hopefully we can educate individuals about this and show them how to structure their financing correctly - Fri Aug 1 2008, 14:29

a score such as yours shouldn't be too much of an issue, going the FHA route is your best bet. Hopefully, you've found the financing your looking for but if not, shoot me an email, I'm a licensed broker in NC, SC and TN. - Wed Jul 30 2008, 10:03

what issues are you running into with obtaining a mortgage? I'm a licensed broker in NC, SC and TN, maybe I can help? - Wed Jul 30 2008, 10:01
Jeromy Wilkens answered:
Absolutely, your credit and income are strong enough for you to get a home. The question of the buyer credit will depend if you have owned a home in the last 3 years. If not, you should be fine. As the previous answer stated, there are great programs for york county and rock hill itself as I am looking in that area myself. If you need any assistance with a realtor and or a mortgage, let me know. Good luck and happy hunting - Wed Jul 30 2008, 09:54
