Hi Amy,
Do you want to do a rent with an option because of credit concerns or is it because you feel the market has not hit the bottom? I just helped a lady that was told by one lender that she had to work on her credit for the next 6 months before she could buy a home. I referred her to a local lender that was able to approve her on a FHA loan and she has an accepted offer on house and we will close in December. Please give me a call so we can talk. Hi Christina,
If you decide to purchase this home as a primary residence and close after December 1st 2008, you can ask to have the tax prorations waived and then you would not be resposible for the higher tax base if this property is nonhomestead. Do you want to be in a subdivision? I know of one very large ranch in the Ann Arbor city limits and two just outside of the city limits but still have the Ann Arbor address. Hi Mitch,
The best way is to be working with a great buyer's agent in the area that specializes in foreclosed properties.
They can send you complete details including the address on all the forclosures plus alert you when new ones come up. I can refer you to an agent in the area that can help you if you can send me some more details on what exactly you are looking for.
