I am considering moving to Port Ochard, Washington (fom L.A., CA).

Dianne Dibley®GRI,ABR,e-PRO answered:
Strawberry hills or anywhere in Port Orchard is an AWESOME place to live in. I moved here, and cannot imagine any other place to be. A Ferry ride from Seattle or Bremerton, over the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, a few hours from beautiful BC, Canada, plenty of things/events to join in, or not. Please visit my website for more info. If there is anything else you need, contact me. The best is to take some time off and visit, there are lots of places to stay at. - Sun Aug 31 2008, 23:56

Call any Real Estate company, tell them what you are looking for, Realtor's network with each other, I read up on Ironbound there are not too many places available, they too have a slow down in the market, nows the time to buy, but with a Realtor you have someone looking out for you and when something gets listed you will know, or take a look around yourself and talk to a few people. As a buyer you do not have to pay the Realtor. Good Luck in your search. - Sat Aug 9 2008, 19:21

Dianne Dibley®GRI,ABR,e-PRO answered:
Why would you choose not to have a Realtor represent you? I teach first time home buyers and you should at least go to a First Time Home Buyers class for some education. You have everything to lose, it does not cost you anything and I'm sure any Realtor will be able to negotiate their side of the commission. Negotiations,terms,price,comps,contingencies,escrow/title, appraisal, inspections, just to name a few, all of this is something one takes into consideration in a real estate transaction. I recommend a Realtor always, and (not a real estate agent) Have you heard of, Penny wise, pound foolish. Realtors work hard for their commission and they earn it.Good Luck - Fri Aug 8 2008, 02:31
Dianne Dibley®GRI,ABR,e-PRO answered:
If you do not have a decent relationship with anyone, and they have no respect for you, be it business or personal, life is too short. Terminate your relationship (in writing w/copy)and find a professional REALTOR who will give you the professional curtsy and move on. If you would like a referral to a Realtor in your area I can help since I network with others, e mail or call me, don't rent and make your landlord rich it's a buyers market out there, take advantage of it. - Tue Jun 17 2008, 22:29
