We are in a similar situation to Thuan on another post. We will be moving to the area from Boston later this year. We have been to Seattle a couple of times and love the Queen Anne, Magnolia, Ballard, Fremont areas. Our price range is around 500k.
We have not been to the burbs in the area but from looking online it sounds like Kenmore, Bothell areas are great new neighborhoods in our price range.
If we choose closer into the city we are looking into new construction townhomes and if we choose the burbs we are looking into new construction in new communities. We have always had a basement and I find the value with new construction well worth the basement foundation costs. Even if the basement is not finished initially just having the extra space is great.
We have looked online at Wynfield Meadows in Kenmore but they do not seem to offer a basement foundation. Are there other neighborhoods in the burbs on the north side that offer new communities, malls, etc in the 500K price range? - Tue Feb 12 2008, 07:11
