i actually see this situation as a sign that the house wasn't right for us. i hated the house. it was old and dirty. the kitchen and floors had to be redone. none of the closets had doors on it. the garage was poorly converted into 2 rooms. it didn't come with appliances or anything. my parents are old and i dont think moving into a house that needs work is right for them. the only good thing about it was location. it's just sad to see my parents stress out about this. - Sun Jun 15 2008, 23:12

i forgot to mention that the water wont be turned on until monday and PG&E wont be turned on until tuesday (6/17). inspection is scheduled wednesday (6/18). we have until 6/20 to finish everything. so i'm thinking even if we can have someone inspect it asap, the electricity and water wont be on for them to check it. - Fri Jun 13 2008, 21:04

i live in this area, right next to independence high school. our car has been stolen once. every once in a while we'll get a broken window. got our car scratched once or twice. it's not safe to park your car outside/on the streets especially if you leave someone visible in your car. - Fri Jun 13 2008, 21:12

you should stay away from senter rd, king rd, and story rd. once you drive around the neighborhoods, you'll get an idea of what it's like. very busy and cramped. prices of houses are usually lower than other areas. - Fri Jun 13 2008, 21:09
