I would be more concerned about this building than Harbor Lights:

This is the Toll Brothers building I mention in my earlier post which may impact light coming in from the south. Plus, it completely goes against the supposed guidelines of the Powerhouse Arts District. - Wed Jul 9 2008, 11:02

I was also looking at Waldo - an 8th floor unit with a wrap around balcony facing Northwest but with some East views as well. I was ready to put in an offer but decided against it after the Harbor Lights sales office shut down and I could not confirm their final building plans. In addition there were 2 other buildings going up (over and around the shopping center) that could have taken away the few slices of water views we would have. From my research it sounds like there is another building going up (Toll Brothers?) a block or two South of Waldo that was given approval for 50 stories - well above the supposed 12 story limit. I got nervous that the city would start making exception after exception and allow these high rises to take over the neighborhood. I'm sure I didn't answer your question but I absolutely had the same concerns about how the proximity of new developments would impact the resale. Good luck! - Thu Jul 3 2008, 20:00
