They will show the appriasel they approve of. They have stated that they will lower the price if it appraises for less than the purchase price, they will not delay the closing date.
My question is......if they pay for 4, 5, or even 12 different appriasals it is there choice in that they are paying for them.....it is only the final one, the one that I actually end up paying for, that is the only one that I have the right to see? I do not get to see the other 11? - Thu Oct 9 2008, 15:24
You mean I am going to have to read what I signed? I did select some upgrades, but they were options. (say $20,000 on a $250,000 price(after Upgrades). (there was a "sale" that day so it only increased my cost approx $12,000 for the $20,000 value of upgrade options. Put another price of home without the options I selected would be 238,000.)
The builder/seller agent has admitted that if it does not appraise they will lower the price. But if they hire appraiser A which values at $215000 B at $220,000 and finally they hire there brother in law which is Appraser C which states the value at $250,000. What then? Any recourse? Any concern? Thanks again - Thu Oct 9 2008, 15:04
