San,
Only properties listed with agencies can be listed on this site. This is not a for sale by owner site. MLS listings will show on this site if the agency they are listed with has a direct feed or if the agent you have listed with enters it manually. I hope this helps. Carrie

Hi San. Properties that are listed in the MLS do not automatically appear on Trulia. Trulia receives listing information either via manual input from the listing agent or if the listing agent has a website that automatically feeds to Trulia, then the listing will be fed to Trulia once the agent adds the listing to his/her website. There may be a day or two delay, but it does not take very long for the listing to display on Trulia.

While the MLS will show who the agent was that brought the buyer, I do not believe that this information shows on Trulia as Trulia is not linked directly to the MLS. Based on what I have seen on Trulia, I believe that the sold homes data is based on public records rather than agent input. Since the public records (i.e., recorder's office) does not show the selling agent information, Trulia does not show who sold the property. If you know the listing agent's name, I would just call the agent and ask for the name of the selling agent. I hope this helps you understand who Trulia receives listing and sold homes data.

It is the Realtors job to input your house into Trulia and several dozen competing national websites. If you have contracted with an agent to input your house into your local MLS, you may request that they also input the house into national listing services such as Trulia.
Trulia accepts listing data from professionals, so I would assume that when a Trulia house is sold it was most likely sold by a Realtor.
