Hailey,
You may be able to find a room for rent around or a studio. Typically one-bedroom apartment in Long Beach is going for more than $800 a month. Try in Carson area close to Santa Fe, you maybe able to find one there.
Good luck to you.

Have you thought about renting a room in a house? Usually the house is already furnished and your roommate might be the owner, who will take really good care of the place and be pretty clean. I'm buying a house in Downtown Long Beach at the end of this month and will be looking for a roommate in a newer 3 bedroom house to help offset my mortgage.
You can probably live in a nicer place for the same amount of money by doing this.
Hi Hailey,
There are some possibilities. I can show you a Belmont Shore studio apt. for $1,000/month, a studio near 7th & Ximeno for $875/month or a downtown one bedroom apt. for $800.
Let me know if you would like to see these properties.

you can...but what are you looking for? you can find a studio or a small one bedroom for around that price, but probably not in the best of neighborhoods. I know there are some options downtown (say between 3rd and 7th close to Atlantic) for about that...
