I have heard mixed things about Parsippany. Is it a good investment to buy in that town?

Mindy:
I have to believe, if bought at the right price, it is a terrific investment. Parsippany is a good location, good schools, and affordable in Morris County standards. Just do not expect that investment to take off in the first year. Real estate in its current state, needs to be regarded as a longer term investment, say 5 years. Good luck.

Being an agent with an office in Parsippany, Parsippany is a popular town. It's contains all the major routes: I-80, 287, 10 and 46. People who want bus service to NYC ask for Parsippany and train service is not that far away. You are on the edge of the more heavily populated areas going east and the more suburban towns going west. You have stores and restaurants and good schools. Like a colleague stated it is a highly rated town by national standards. You have a variety of housing from condos, townhouses, older and newer homes.

It all depends on what you want from the town you live in- you just don't buy a house hoping that it will go up in value unless you are buying a rental. You still have to live in the house, neighborhood etc and you don't want to keep saying to yourself "this house will go up in value" to keep yourself sane.

I too offer my buyers services to you- 973-876-8645.

As they say, usually a property you purchase is a good investment. They say a house usually increases in value in 10 years, especially in this market, its a buyers market, so you could get a good deal on a home now.

Mindy,

As with most towns, Parisppany has a mix of lower priced homes and higher end homes. Different sections include, Lake Intervale, Glacier Hills, Sedgefield, Lake Hiawatha, Lake Parsippany, Rainbow Lakes, Mount Tabor, and Powder Mill. There are areas of Parsippany that are flood zones.

A really big factor is if you are looking to invest in a home to live, or if you are looking for investment property. It's really about determining your needs and how the investment will benefit you.

Feel free to contact me.

Good luck.

FIRST ANSWER

Well that's a loaded question. Are you thinking of buying an investment property or a personal residence? There are many opportunities to purchase an investment property with a great cash flow, tax benefits, aprreciation, etc. There is also great residential housing available for sale. If you care to give me some insight about your plans I can be more specific.

Jeff
