I was just forwarded an article in the Rocky Mtn News about appreciating values in Lowry. I do some work in that area, and would nicely fit your needs in your price range.

Capitol Hill area is nice and is the gay district which means its really pretty :) I have an apartment in that area as a single female and its walking distance to some clubs and stuff and to down town if you don't mind walking 1 mile. Not bad if you ask me. The neighborhood is great which is the best selling point of the whole thing.

Drew,
I am sure you will be able to find something very nice for that price. May I suggest The Highlands- Historic Area in North West Denver. About a 5 minute drive over the bridge to downtown Denver. You will be thrilled with the area if you like a little urban charm. Take care- Respectfully, Sarah Wed Jun 4 2008, 21:39 Web Reference: http://www.sarahsolomonhomes.com

Less than a 25 minute commute to Downtown? You can get a lot of house for that price in certain areas. Generally, the closer you get to downtown the higher the price (depending on size and condition). There are some very lovely neighborhoods to the south, near the light rail lines, & the light rail would get you downtown lickety-split!

I'd love to help you with your quest. If you can supply some additional information (size, where you will be commuting to, family, etc.) Realtors that post on this site can offer some outstanding information and assistance.
The 5280 reference is a good one, recent article about up and coming neighborhoods, in particular Highlands, is a pretty good reference tool. You are more than welcome to go to my site: www.denverhomeguru.com to do an mls search (without obligation) or give me a call and I'll be happy to go to work to find your new home. Good luck. Drew,
Where are you going to be communiting to? There a lots of nice areas downtown and near downtown where you can find single family residences. The cool thing about Denver is that you can get pretty much anywhere in the Denver metro area within 30 minutes. I have some awesome information about Denver and metro Denver on my website: www.leslieheldenbrand.com. I have a relocation guide that you can request that has commute times, demographics of the 27 areas that encompass the metro Denver area, average price ranges, etc. Go to http://www.leslieheldenbrand.com/moving-to-denver-co.asp to get more information about requesting a guide. If you have any questions about the Denver Metro area, I would love to answer them!
