Hello Helen,
I have sold many homes in Fontana and it is a very nice city. Are you wondering about crime rates because if you are, I would direct you to call the Fontana Police Department and ask them which areas of Fontana have the least amount of crime. Of course, you would need a downstairs bedroom, but maybe you can find a single story home! There are some homes that even may have a small guest house out back. The Hunter's Ridge part of Fontana is really nice. There are some really nice homes just East of Summit as well. All of those schools are fairly new. If you need a realtor, I can certainly help you find a wonderful home in Fontana. Another item I would like to bring up, is after you have found a house, go tohttp:// www.registeredoffenderslist.org to find out if there are sex offenders or what other types of people are in the area. I don't want to alarm you, but they are out there everywhere...if you actually went online in your own neighborhood, you would probably be very surprised. MaegansLaw is another good site, just type that in the search engine to see. I don't mean to scare you, but they are certainly in every city. I have many in my area as well. So, don't be alarmed when they pop up no matter where you want to live. I agree with Laarni to check out the schools websites, but you can drive the neighborhoods and talk to neighbors as well. People generally won't tell you the wrong information if they live there! Good luck and let me know if I can help you in any way. You can search the MLS free through my web site athttp:// www.calljoan4homes.com. There are many great deals out in Fontana right now, so good luck to you and your family! Hi Helen,
You need a downstairs bedroom for grandma. As for the kids, please check out this website to get a better feel on the elementary schoolshttp://:www.cde.ca.gov/psaa. Fontana has grown quite well in the last 10 years due to the construction of Victoria Gardens , Ontario Mills, the expansion of Ontario International airport and it became the NASCAR haven for Southern Cal. I have represented a number of families from the LA area who moved to Fontana and they were satisfied. Please review the school ranking in the city and then make your decision.
