Planning to buy a house in Sayreville or South River.

I am a first time home buyer. We are expecting a baby and want to move to a single family home. We need some advice about Sayreville and South River. Will investments in these areas pay off ?

If you find the right house at a good price, then the statement that "real estate has always been the best investment" should hold true. I would say that a house at the corner of a busy intersection is always going to be a house on the corner of a busy intersection and the price paid may be the price of the house.

Call me / Email me. I work in these areas and I have seen a few homes in both Sayreville and South River that would be good purchases. Email me your price range and needs and I will send you what is available in the price range and we can sort them out.

I have been actively monitoring both TH (Town Houses) and SFH (Single Family Homes) in Sayreville at price points up to 400K.

I just took a quick look and there approximately 200 homes for sale in these areas priced at or below 400,000. That's a fairly large selection. Of these about 100 are under $320,000.

I would suggest looking at neighborhoods where your purchase will represent the entry price point for the neighborhood, and focus on buying at a competitive price. Try not to fall in love with any particular home, so you can establish a walk-away price. Focus on value.

No one can tell you where the market will be next year, nor where interest rates will be. At the present time, rates are low, inventory is strong, and sellers are motivated. Notwithstanding these facts, I advise buyers to consider the fact that a home is not just an investment, but where many of your family dreams and memories will be made. There is no suggestion that you dismiss or make light of the financial considerations. Home is your center, and when you own it, you can paint, wallpaper, and put up a wall unit if you would like.

If you care to receive a list of currently available properties, please let me know.
