I am looking for a townhome in Bridgewater, Branchburg or the Clinton area to be closer to my job. How does?
the cost of living compare and where would I find the best selection? Can you suggest the best areas where townhomes with basements and some grounds can be found?

Hi, My name is Jane Wynn with Century 21 Worden & Green. All three areas are quite comparable. Bridgewater may offer lower taxes. Bridgewater has quite a few TH for sale, but Clinton may offer a little less congestion. Call me, I would be happy to email some listings to you.

I am an agent and I have a condo available in Hillsborough, NJ close to Bridgewater. Its on the first floor, 1 bedroom, 1 bath full partially finished basement, balcony, lots of storage area. Pets allowed. I have it listed for $219,999 and I am negotiable. The flooring has been redone throughout. location is off Route 206 mins from the somerville circle or cut through dukes estates to raritan and hop on 202.

Best areas is a subjective term, the best thing to do would be to meet with an agent go over what you can afford, what criteria your looking for in a town based on your wants and needs, same for the condo/townhouse and take it from there. Generally speaking condo's and townhomes do not come with a lot of property specific to a unit however you can find them with "grounds" which are common areas or you may consider a house in a PUD Planned Urban Development such as a condo or townhouse complex.
To compare cost of living in various towns go here: http://www.bestplaces.net/col/ Lately I've shown many condos, townhomes and development homes in Bridgewater, Somerville, Bernardsville, Chattham, Summit and have to tell you the complexes and towns can vary greatly, you'll need to take a road trip tour to ultimately find what is best for you. All three towns offer a reasonable number of choices depending upon your price range.Bridgewater probably has the best tax base of the three while Branchburg will offer the lowest sales prices of the three(though not by much).
Beaver Brook and Alton Place in Clinton, Chambers Brooks in Branchburg, Bridgewater Oaks, Bridle Club are all developments offering basements and some space. They are generally below $400,000 so hopefully they fit your price range. Feel free to contact me further about any of these towns and what they have to offer. Wed Dec 26 2007, 10:10
