I am apartment searching in Mahwah.

I need a 1BR/1BA. Ramsey or Upper Saddle could be considered.

Diane, in NJ the tenants DO pay the realtor either a month, or a month and a half depending on a listing agent.

I just ran a quick search and found 17 1 Br rentals in the Towns of Mahwah & Ramsey. If you would like detailed information send me an email at David@DavidChaseRealEstate.com. By the way here in Northern NJ the custom is that the tenant pays the fee of 1 month rent of course there may be expections but those are few.

The easiest way is to use a Realtor -However In NJ the landlord does not typically cover the brokerage cost. I can send you a list if you like?

In NJ, tenants do not pay fees to rent through a realtor. The landlord does--typically a month's rent or 10% of a seasonal rental. Don't hesitate to contact a Realtor. It won't cost you a thing! If you are having trouble finding one, call me and I can refer one to you. You will find my contact info at my website, listed in the web reference below. Good Luck!

Jonathan,
Try checking outhttp:// www.craigslist.com orhttp:// www.rent.com. Check the local newspapers and if you have no luck check with a local real estate office. You will have to pay more fees if you are using a realtor. Good Luck!
