Students Per Teacher:
The teachers are either very simple not preparing you at all or give too much unnessisary work overloading students with worthless information. I attend all honors classes and they are not as perplexing as I would hope as they do not chalange but just assign more work then the average classes. There

is an extreme lack of electives and oppertunities for students to take advantage of. It would be slightly decent if there upperclassmen were given options to take more languages then spanish, french and italian. I'd say that students are held back in this school opposed to letting them spread their wings and fly. I attend this schools as a freshman. Read less

My child said this school is boring. There are no 'fun' electives. Too much lecturing and not enough hands on work.

I go to Barnegat High school and am currently a junoir. I dont think its the best school in the world(obviously) but it is not the worse. They have the policy of not being tardy which i can understand but to lunch? Thats absolutly ridiculous! If you are a moment late, the teachers are signing you up

for a saturday detention...Other then that, they keep the bathrooms locked for most of the time and makes it really hard to access them during the day. As for the positives, our school strives in the sports in my opinion. They did well , welcoming in the athletics department. Our academic improvment is of course cared for. So in the end, i cant say i hate it, but i cant say i love it.The end = Read less

This school is awful, students can not be late to lunch, they can not carry back packs, or wear heavy coats. They cant have a gym locker? They have barely any classes to chose from, no classes that could be useful, like home ec, or wood shop?! This school needs to seriously revise a lot of things.

The children are always happy and full of spirit. Every child is involved in something. singing, plays, sports, bands, clubs etc. If a child is late or absent the computer automatically calls your home. The school is clean and huge with a very nice work out center and field for playing football and running track. The name of the teams are the Bengals with a awesome cheerleading team. Mr. John Murphy heads the girls basket ball team. I can honestly say that I am happy with the school on many issues. Read less
