This is a great school for a safe enviornment and discipline. The leadership is great and they have an adequate choice of courses. The building is very old and could use a makeover. There is no air conditioning. The teachers are adequate at best. But the school is a big improvement over the public

school choice available in the area, mostly due to safety and discipline. This school is run extremely efficient and everyone is extremely nice and helpful. Everything is very organized and you will get results as soon as you call. Read less

I graduated in 2002 and i thought it was a pretty good experience. Sure the building seems like its about to fall apart, but you make up for that with great teachers. Most make less than the average public school teacher, but yet they still teach there (some even 20 years and/or longer!). a teacher told

HSHS is not up to date. Only about 1 computer in each room and poor lockers and water fountains. How can a school that gets about 5,000 dollars per person and have that kind of setting. They probably have to have more security and on the paper for registration be more specific. Also dont ask personal

Probably better than other competing schools, however, facilities are kind of shabby, food can be improved, library upgraded, more funding for non-sports related activities (music, for example) and less emphasis on athletics (although very important) and more well roundedness. The school is obsessed

I am an alumni of HSHS and am now sending my daughter to this school. I pulled her out of public school due to many problems with the school system. Although the school looks much the same as it did when I graduated, and could use a facelift, it has been an excellent experience for my daughter. The staff

has treated my daughter with great respect and caring, and she is doing well there. Her guidance counselor saw she was not working up to her potential in the old school, and moved her to more advanced classes. She now has a much more positive outlook, and her grades are great. I would highly recommend moving your child from public school to HSHS - it is truly an investment in your child's future. Read less

I am presently a student at HSHS and I think it is absolutely horrible. The school itself is falling apart. There's no air conditioning, unsanitary bathrooms, excessive smoking and drug use that is never caught, no discipline, disrespect, ceiling tiles fall down in the middle of class, lockers that slit

your wrists when you try to close them and horrible food that is overpriced! The whole school community may seem like your average perfect Catholic school but mark my words, after a day in this school you'll be counting the seconds for it to end. As a whole, everyone is obsessed with sports so unless you do a sport and are good at it, you don't have much of a chance of fitting in or getting along with teachers that favor athletes. There aren't many clubs. Overall, I would not reccomend this school. Read less

An all out great school. Newly remodeled, and the teaching staff is one of the most compitent (and completely sane and sober) I have ever come accross. The principal is a dream to work with, not a shadey person at all...

I was a graduate in the 1970's, my daughter a graduate in 2003, I also was a lunchlady there for 3 years. I feel that it is a good school in everyway. The only negative thing I can say about it is that if you are a boy, and not into sports you might want to look somewhere else, the student body and teachers
